13 <br /> RENA <br /> Executive Summary <br /> Vision <br /> Executive Summary: <br /> The new Rogers/Eubanks Neighborhood Association (RENA) community center <br /> building should be a symbol of the birth of a new relationship between the <br /> Rogers/Eubanks neighborhood and the rest of the area. It is the first instantiation of the <br /> development of our neighborhood into what we believe will make it the heart--- the <br /> hub --- of a mixed-use, walkable, friendly and healthy residential area that stretches <br /> from Homestead to Eubanks. While the center is the result of a redress of wrongs it is <br /> more importantly the beginning of a model of economic development that should <br /> .become widely copied: growing and improving without displacement. <br /> The center itself will continue to build the community's capacity through health, <br /> education and engagement programs. In addition, we envision that it will be used to <br /> launch community partnership businesses in the style of Mondragon. These businesses <br /> will eventually coalesce into the attractive mixed-use hub we believe will improve the <br /> entire area. <br /> We have included several possible financial ways forward.
