Each voting member will be encouraged to complete the orientation within two <br /> months of his or her appointment. <br /> B. Training. <br /> 1. The Division of Aging, Department of Health and Human Services, shall develop <br /> training materials, which shall be distributed to each committee member. Each <br /> committee member must receive training as specified by the Division of Aging <br /> prior to exercising any power under G.S. 131 D-32. <br /> SECTION VI. INSURANCE <br /> A. Liability <br /> 1. To the extent that any adult care home advisory committee or any member is <br /> covered by liability insurance, that committee or member shall be deemed to <br /> have waived the qualified immunity herein to the extent of indemnification by <br /> insurance. <br /> SECTION VII. BY-LAWS <br /> A. By-Laws <br /> 1. Any Bylaws adopted by the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> are void and no further bylaws shall be adopted. Procedure shall be governed <br /> solely by this policy document and the General Advisory Board Policy Document. <br /> 2. Should the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee determine <br /> modifications to policies and procedures are necessary the Adult Care Home <br /> Community Advisory Committee may petition the Board of County <br /> Commissioners for such modifications. <br /> 3. Should the General Assembly amend sections of the North Carolina General <br /> Statutes Chapter 131 D, Article III pertaining to the Adult Care Home Community <br /> Advisory Committee such amendments shall be incorporated into these Adult <br /> Care Home Community Advisory Committee Policies and Procedures with no <br /> additional action of the Board of County Commissioners. <br />
