Appointments <br />(1) Arts Commission -New Appointments <br />The Board considered making new appointments to the Arts Commission. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Foushee to <br />appoint Leah Rade, Linda Marco, Mary Jane Felgenhauer, and Shannon Jackson to the Arts <br />Commission, and each will be serving first full terms, which end on 3131/2009. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />(2) Board of Equalization and Review -New Appointments <br />The Board considered appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Carey to <br />approve Tom Heffner as a regular member of the E&R Board of Equalization and Review. <br />VOTE UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br />approve Jerry Kruter as a regular member of the E&R Board of Equalization and Review. <br />VOTE UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br />approve Jane Sparks as a regular member of the E&R Board of Equalization and Review. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />The Board agreed to appoint Margaret Brown, Claire Williams, Bill Crowther, Pam Davis, <br />Reg Morgan, and Tim Kepley as alternate members. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Foushee to <br />appoint Jane Sparks as Chair of the E&R Board of Equalization and Review. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />(3) Mebane Planning Board -New Appointment <br />The Board considered making one appointment to the Mebane Planning Board. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to <br />appoint Thomas Fenske to a full term ending June 30, 2011. <br />VOTE UNANIMOUS <br />(4) Northern Transition Area Small Area Plan Implementation Taskforce <br />The Board was to consider making appointment{s) to the Northern Transition Area Small <br />Area Plan Implementation Taskforce. <br />DEFERRED <br />{5) Orange Person Chatham (OPC1 Area Programs Board -New <br />Appointments <br />The Board considered making a new appointment to the OPC Area Programs Board. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Gordon to <br />appoint Lynn Ikenberry to the Orange Person Chatham {OPC) Area Programs Board for a <br />partial term ending December 31, 2008. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />10.
