Violation continues to exist. <br /> Photograph taken. <br /> • March 20, 2001 — Notice of Assessment of Civil Penalties (dated March 19, 2001) <br /> sent via certified mail, return receipt requested. Notice received by Jeffrey <br /> Brooks. <br /> • June 12, 2001 — Notice of June 19, 2001 BOCC meeting sent via certified mail, <br /> return receipt requested. Notice returned July 18, 2001 unclaimed. <br /> • June 19, 2001 — Request for assessment of civil penalties heard by BOCC. <br /> Personal contact with person(s) held in violation requested by BOCC. No decision <br /> on request. <br /> • July 6, 2001 —Zoning Officer visits the Brooks residence. Situation discussed <br /> with Mrs. Brooks. Mrs. Brooks states that Mr. Brooks is trying to get all vehicles <br /> licensed. Mrs. Brooks also stated that only one vehicle located on site is inoperable <br /> (see Attachment#5). <br /> • July 25, 2001 —Anonymous complaint filed regarding 7 junked vehicles on Brooks <br /> property. <br /> • September 4, 2001 — Site inspection. Junked and/or wrecked motor vehicles still <br /> located on site. <br /> • September 10, 2001 —Zoning Officer visits Brooks residence. Situation again <br /> discussed with Mrs. Brooks. At inspection, only 5 junked vehicles (tan Yugo, <br /> light blue Ford station wagon, blue Chevrolet van, light blue &white Ford Bronco, <br /> and light blue Ford/Mercury sedan) on site (see Attachment#6). <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact with this decision item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): Administration recommends that the property owners held in <br /> violation be assesed the civil penalties of $100 per day that have accrued from July 6, <br /> 2001. <br />
