Comprehensive Assessment of Emergency Medical Services 83 <br /> DRAFT REPORT and 911/Communications Center Operations Study <br /> Issue: Data <br /> Recommendations: <br /> R-18. Purchase necessary AVL vehicle hardware for each new EMS vehicle purchased to enable <br /> compatibility with newly purchased CAD software and existing AVL system hardware. <br /> Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) hardware has already been purchased and is installed in current EMS <br /> vehicles. The equipment is compatible with the newly purchased CAD system software and the AVL <br /> "package" that is included within it. This recommendation is simply to continue with the purchase and <br /> installation of this important hardware into each new EMS vehicle as it comes on line. <br /> R 19.
