<br />• Develop appropriate informational materials that will address the District Election <br />Referendum <br />• Design and implement a campaign to distribute relevant factual information about the <br />District Election Referendum for Orange County citizens in the most effective and <br />efficient manner possible <br />• Design and implement a process for infornational meetings with civic groups, non-profit <br />agencies, neighborhood associations, and other interested parties in the community <br />• Ensure that equal access to factual information is provided to all individuals and groups, <br />regardless of their position for or against the referendum <br />• Encourage all eligible voters to participate in the November 7, 200& election <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />b. Appointments <br />(1) Arts Commission -New Appointment <br />The Board considered making one appointment to the Arts Commission. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis <br />to appoint Brownyn Merritt to the Arts Commission to a first full term ending March 31, <br />2009. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />(2) Eno EDD Small Area Plan Taskforce -Initial Appointments <br />The Board considered making appointments to the Eno EDD Small Area Plan <br />Taskforce. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner Foushee <br />to appoint the following to the Eno EDD Small Area Plan Taskforce: <br />ResidentslProperty owners (3-5} William DuBose <br />Donna Easterlin <br />Donald Easterlin <br />Mark Michol <br />Business Owners {2-4} Mark O'Neal <br />At-Large (3) No current a licants <br />Orange County BOCC member (1} Valerie Foushee <br />Durham City Council Member (1) Recommendation Forthcoming <br />Orange County Planning Board member (1} Recommendation Forthcoming <br />Oran e Count EDC Member 1 Robert Ward <br />Eno River Association/Eno State Park Rep.
