Increase Appropriated Fund Balance 170,636 <br /> 6.1 Reduce property tax by one cent 889,133 <br /> Total Changes to Recommended Revenues 1 (607,753) <br /> 6) The current expense appropriation for Schools is $40,785,632. The appropriation to the <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is $24,808,660 and the appropriation to the Orange <br /> County`Schools is $15,976,972. The per pupil allocation is $2,437. <br /> 7) The property tax rate shall be set at 80.5 cents per$100 of assessed valuation. <br /> 8) The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School District Tax shall be set at 20.2 cents per$100 of <br /> assessed valuation. <br /> 9) The Fire District tax rates shall be set at the following rates (all rates are based on cents per <br /> $100 of assessed valuation): <br /> • Cedar Grove 7.3 cents <br /> • Chapel Hill 2.0 cents <br /> • Damascus 2.6 cents <br /> • Efland 2.85 cents <br /> • Eno 4.4 cents <br /> • Little River 4.5 cents <br /> • New Hope 5.0 cents <br /> • Orange Grove 3.9 cents <br /> • Orange Rural 4.6 cents <br /> • South Orange 7.85 cents <br /> • Southern Triangle 2.6 cents <br /> • White Cross 4.8 cents <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
