The questions were: <br /> • What energy, water and fuel reduc#ion goals do neighboring communities have? <br /> • What can be done reg�rding "instant on" devices such as the flat panel displays in the BOCC <br /> meeting room at Southem Human Services Center? <br /> • What can be done regarding the outside lights remaining on during daylight hours at the <br /> Library? <br /> • What actions are being taken regarding waste reduction and recycling in County operations? <br /> • What was the Energy ConservatiQn Task �roup referenced in the Energy Conservation Policy, <br /> adopted in December 2005? <br /> • What is the dollar value af reduc#ions in energy used? <br /> Energy, Water and Fuel reduction goafs of neigh'boring comrnunities <br /> Information was obtained from the Town of Chapel Hill, the Town of Carrboro, the City of Durham and <br /> Durham County regarding conservation related policies, with specific requests for information regarding <br /> goals or targets established by the individual communities.
