Attachment3 represents a Professional Services Agreement amendment in the not- <br />to-exceed amount of $37,500 that would compensate Clarion for this additional time, if <br />necessary. <br />Additionally, staff and the consultant reported on the estimated Chapel Hill SUP processing fees <br />during the August 21, 2012 update. Clarion has since discussed these fees with Chapel Hill and <br />recommends the County reserve $110,000 for this purpose. Staff recommends the Board <br />authorize the Chair tocontactChapelHillregarding adjusting theprocess and associated fees <br />for the benefit of Orange County. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There are sufficient funds in the capital project budget for the additional <br />not-to-exceed $37,500 for Clarion’s professional services as well as the $110,000 for the Chapel <br />Hill SUP process fees. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends the Board: <br />Receive and adopt a Master Plan for the Southern Orange County Government Services <br />Campus; <br />Authorize the Manager to submit the necessary application and fees to the Town of <br />Chapel Hill for the Special Use Permit (“SUP”) Modification process for this project; <br />Authorize the Chair to execute an amendment to the Clarion Associates Agreement <br />dated May 15, 2012 in the amount not to exceed $37,500 for potential additional <br />services related to the SUP process; and <br />Authorize the Chair to contact the Town of Chapel Hill regarding adjusting the SUP <br />modification process and related fees for this project. <br /> <br />
