. ^ <br /> Background research will also include contacting historical researchers who have special knowledge ofthe <br /> area Any additional research will be conducted as needed. <br /> The purpose of the background research is to compile sufficient and appropriate information to <br /> understand the cultural context of any cultural resources identified during the survey. <br /> Following background research,there will be two stages offieldwork. <br /> Stage I <br /> The first stage will be systematic subsurface coring about 4 feet outside the north foundation wall(Figure <br /> 1)where new drain pipe will be installed(approximately 150 feet long)and in an area about 30 feet by 30 <br /> feet off the West foundation wall (Figure 2)where a new drop inlet is proposed. This part of the <br /> investigation iwill also include assessing the project impact to the crawlspace area where there will be a <br /> new section of storm drain line will extend from the outside of the building,through the foundation wall, <br /> and into the crawlspace(Figure 3)to connect with an existing line with new junction box. <br /> Figure 1.
