The Alternatives <br /> Analysis(AA),completed in 2011,focused on a set of needs and alternative actions to address <br /> these needs,and generated information needed to select an option for further engineering <br /> and implementation. In February 2012,the DCHC MPO selected a 17.3-mile light rail corridor <br /> from East Durham to UNC Hospitals as the locally preferred alternative(LPA).
