<br />1 <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date:October 2, 2012 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No.5-k <br />SUBJECT: <br />Change in BOCC Regular Meeting Schedule for 2012 <br />DEPARTMENT:PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N)No <br />County Commissioners <br />ATTACHMENT (S):INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Donna Baker, 245-2130 <br />Clerk to the Board <br />PURPOSE: <br />To consider onechangetothe County Commissioners’ regular meeting calendar <br />for 2012. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br />Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in <br />the Regular Meeting Scheduleby: <br />Changing the location of the BOCC meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 8, 2012 <br />FROMTO <br />the DSS Offices, 113 Mayo Street, the Central Orange Senior Center (Adjoining <br />Triangle SportsPlex), 103 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, N.C. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />In order to insure that the sound quality is adequate at the November 8, <br />2012 meeting, Asset Management Serviceswill need to engage the services of Custom Light <br />and Sound ata cost of approximately $500(delivery, set-up and management of rental sound <br />equipment). <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): <br />The Manager recommends the Board amend itsregular meeting <br />calendarfor 2012 by: <br />Changing the location of the BOCC meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 8, 2012 <br />FROMTO <br />the DSS Offices, 113 Mayo Street, the Central Orange Senior Center (Adjoining <br />Triangle SportsPlex), 103 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough, N.C. <br />
