4 a <br /> INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXECUTING GRANT AGREEMENTS <br /> PUBLIC BODY GRANTEES <br /> Included in this correspondence is an electronic file in a PDF format of the grant <br /> agreement(s) to be executed between the local grant recipient and the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation. <br /> 1. Print two copies of each agreement. Printing front and back will conserve paper <br /> and reduce package size. Please be consistent. Do not print one front and back <br /> and the other single sided. <br /> 2. The person officially authorized by resolution of the governing body to accept the <br /> department's offer of financial assistance should sign each agreement where <br /> indicated. The signature must be witnessed. Stamped signatures are not <br /> acceptable. <br /> 3. If your agency has a seal, affix the seal on the signature page where indicated. <br /> 4. Enter your agency's Federal Tax ID Number and Fiscal Year-End on the <br /> signature page. If applicable, complete the section on the table for Contract <br /> Administrators: For the Contractor: "If Delivered by US Postal Service" and <br /> "If Delivered by Any Other Means". Writing this information by hand is <br /> acceptable. <br /> 5. Do not date the agreements. This will be done upon execution by the <br /> department. <br /> 6. Return all copies within thirty(30) days to the following address. Please <br /> return the contracts and resolution if possible within 30 days. All other <br /> information sent via email does not have to be returned with the contract. Do not <br /> staple the contracts together. Use either large paper or binder clips. <br /> Mr. Charlie C.
