Pyrotechnics Approval; Blue Cross Blue Shield Family Day <br />The Board considered approving a pyrotechnics permit far Blue Cross/Blue Shield <br />Family Day 2006 on Saturday, June 3, 2006, contingent upon final approval of the set up by the <br />Emergency Management Director or his designee. <br />Chair Jacobs made reference to the drought conditions and said that he would like to <br />track the pyrotechnic approval process that if there are severe drought conditions, that it <br />overrides any of the permits. He wants to give people a head's up early in the process that it <br />could be a problem. <br />Purchasing and Central Services Director Pam Jones said that they have exchanged <br />emails an this subject and Fire Marshall Mike Tapp has said that if there is a burning ban then a <br />pyrotechnics permit can be revoked.
