The proposed solar farm will be in harmony with the area in which it is located. <br /> The proposed solar farm is consistent with the residential and agricultural land uses that <br /> exist in the area today. All properties immediately adjacent on the north, south and west <br /> sides of the solar farm site are owned by the same property owner as the proposed solar <br /> farm,the Bradshaw Family Partnership. A 75' foot Type E vegetation buffer will be <br /> established around the entire perimeter of the property. <br /> 8. The proposed solar farm will be consistent with the Orange County <br /> Comprehensive Plan. In Chapter 1, the Plan Overview, the Orange County <br /> Comprehensive Plan states that ". . .we must seek to develop a community that meets the <br /> needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to <br /> meet their needs." The Comprehensive Plan goes own to encourage green energy, like <br /> solar energy, in Natural and Cultural Systems Goal 1, Objective AE-15 and Objective <br /> AG.8. <br /> 9. The proposed solar farm is classified as a Public Utility Station and Substation <br /> under Section 5.9.3 of the Unified Development Ordinance, and it meets all the <br /> requirements of that section. No building is proposed as a part of the proposed solar farm <br /> so no sewage system will be required. The site is of adequate size for the proposed solar <br /> farm. <br /> 10. The site is appropriately located to be served by fire,police and emergency <br /> services,if needed. <br /> 11. It is my professional opinion that the proposed solar farm meets all of the <br /> requirements for issuance of a Special Use Permit for a Public Utility Station and <br /> Substation use. <br /> Further the Affiant Sayeth Not. <br /> [Remainder of Page Intentionally Left Blank.] <br />
