APPROVED 514!2006 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MEETING TO DISCUSS MANAGER SEARCH PROCESS <br />April 10, 2006 <br />5:00 p.m. <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 5:00 <br />p.m. to discuss the process and timeline for the Orange County Manager search at the <br />Purchasing Office conference room in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Barry Jacobs, Vice-Chair Stephen <br />Halkiotis, Commissioners Moses Carey, Jr., Valerie P. Foushee, and Alice Gordon <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Deputy Clerk to the Board David Hunt <br />NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO IN THESE MINUTES ARE IN THE <br />PERMANENT AGENDA FILE IN THE CLERK'S OFFICE. <br />The Grange County Board of Commissioners met to discuss the County Manager search <br />process and timeline with Jim Mercer of "The Mercer Group, Inc.". <br />Each member of the Board had received copies of the previously submitted one-page <br />listing of search process components compiled by each Commissioner. <br />At the request of the Board, Jim Mercer proceeded to discuss search steps and timeline. <br />I.
