Appointments <br />(1} Arts Commission -One Reappointment <br />The Board reappointed Alice Levinson to the Arts Commission to a first full term expiring <br />March 31, 2009. <br />(2) Historic Preservation Commission- One Reappointment <br />The Board reappointed Tam Allison to the Historic Preservation Commission to a first full <br />term expiring March 31, 2009. <br />(3} Orange County Planning Board -Reappointments <br />The Board reappointed Brian Dobyns, Bernadette Pelissier, and Jay Bryan to the Orange <br />County Planning Board to terms ending March 31, 2009. <br />(4} Recreation and Parks Advisory Council -Reappointments <br />The Board reappointed Stephen Peck, Carroll Hawkins, and Deborah Judd to the Recreation <br />and Parks Advisory Council to second full terms ending March 31, 2009. <br />(5} Chapel HilllOrange County Visitors Bureau -New Appointments <br />The Board appointed Bob Ward as the Economic Development Commission representative <br />and Jim Ward as the Town of Chapel Hill representative to the Chapel Hill/Orange County <br />Visitors Bureau. <br />c. Motor Vehicle Property Tax ReleaselRefunds <br />The Board adopted a refund resolution, which is incorporated by reference, related to 33 <br />requests for motor vehicle property tax releases or refunds in accordance with North Carolina <br />General Statutes. <br />d. Community Development Block Grant Award - IDA Program <br />The Board approved the following documents: 1) Code of ConductlHatch Act Policy; and 2} <br />Citizen Participation Plan as required by the FY 2005 Community Development Block Grant <br />Award. <br />e. Impact Fee Reimbursement <br />The Board approved the impact fee reimbursement request from Habitat far Humanity of <br />Orange County, NC, Inc. for $17,628 for four new homes. <br />f. Contract Award - GovDeals, Electronic Auction Services <br />This item was removed and placed at the end of the consent agenda far separate <br />consideration. <br />g: 2005-2006 SBTDC Contract Renewal <br />The Board renewed a contract to continue support of small business development services <br />far Orange County citizens, as stated in the Economic Development Strategic Plan adapted <br />May 14, 1996, and reaffirmed by the Economic Development Commission in its new strategic <br />plan, Investing in Innovation: 2005-2010; and authorized the Manager and the Clerk to the <br />Board to execute the contract. <br />h. Contract with Orange County Speedway -Sheriff's Office <br />The Board approved a contract with the Orange County Raceway {OCR}, Inc. to provide law <br />enforcement coverage at events and races at the Orange County Speedway during 2006 and <br />authorize the Chair to sign subject to final review by staff and the County Attorney. <br />i.
