3 <br /> Attachment A <br /> BENEFITS REPORT <br /> The County benefits package helps attract and retain employees as evidenced by comments <br /> from employees at orientations, exit interviews and surveys. Benefits are a key component of <br /> total compensation, providing on average 40% of a permanent employee's compensation <br /> package. <br /> Open Enrollment dates are tentatively scheduled for October 22 — November 2, 2012 with an <br /> effective date of January 1, 2013. Prior to these dates, numerous opportunities to learn about <br /> 2013 benefits will be available. Communications will be sent to employees describing the 2013 <br /> plan designs and encouraging them to attend an enrollment meeting.
