22 <br /> Attachment E <br /> Retiree Health Eligibility by Jurisdiction <br /> At the June 19, 2012 BOCC meeting, the Board approved an amendment to the <br /> Personnel Ordinance Article IV, Section 28-36 regarding retiree health coverage for <br /> employees hired on or after July 1, 2012. The amendment changed the requirements <br /> for health coverage for service retirees from ten total years to twenty continuous years <br /> of service. The BOCC requested additional information about service requirements in <br /> other jurisdictions. <br /> Staff conducted a survey of comparable jurisdictions.
