In doing so, the County gained significant synergies with data sharing, but it requires <br /> resources to perform the initial conversion and to support the ongoing maintenance of this data as <br /> part of this additional service. <br /> GIIIS Data Synchr'oumiza'don <br /> In 2009, OCIT implemented real time synchronization of GIS database between Orange County GIS, <br /> Chapel Hill GIS and Carrboro GIS (OC currently provides this service for Hillsborough) for all streets <br /> and addresses, greatly increasing levels of timeliness & accuracy for addressing data, while ensuring <br /> more reliable and effective collaboration between our important municipal partners. <br /> II3 ,NCB, IVleetmng SUuppor°t <br /> IT is now providing pre-meeting setup support for all BOCC meetings, including AN equipment setup, <br /> public network availability, streaming video services and any other items that arise in preparation for <br /> the meetings. <br /> u.;N n ne Pet rat i on <br /> The IT Department deployed a new Internet based tool with which the public can register their pets. <br /> umliume IllF±wecr'ea'toum r'a'tion <br /> The IT Department provides a web-based service for the public to sign up for parks and recreation <br /> classes, team sports and recreational facilities. <br /> 9 <br />
