➢ Student Share <br /> ➢ Daily Wrap-Up <br /> Day 4: <br /> ➢ Overview of Day's Activities/Student Expectation <br /> ➢ Listen and Learn Activity <br /> The teaching artist will invite Victor Moore(the pianist)to the classroom with his keyboard.The teaching <br /> artist,accompanied by Victor Moore,will perform a jazz song. <br /> ➢ Lyrics=Music Activity <br /> Two groups will go with Victor Moore to decide how they want their song to sound.Three groups will go <br /> with the teaching artist to condense the song lyrics.Victor Moore will record to make sure the song is <br /> captured accurately.Then,the group that was with Victor Moore will switch to go with the teaching artist. <br /> The group that was with the teaching artist will go with Victor Moore. <br /> ➢ Acting Out A Play Activity <br /> Instructor brings in several props,and students take turns acting out several scenarios. <br /> ➢ Student Share <br /> ➢ Daily Wrap-Up <br /> *Over the weekend, the teaching artist and Victor Moore will score the music. The teaching artist and <br /> Victor Moore will record the music in his home studio. <br /> Day 5: <br /> ➢ Overview of Day's Activities/Student Expectation <br /> ➢ Take A Listen Activity <br /> Students will receive a jazz chart of their songs.They will listen to the recorded songs. <br /> (These materials will be used as reference for the other singers and musicians.) <br /> ➢ Make A Performance Activity <br /> The teaching artist will discuss the one-hour performance with the students. Students will be chosen by <br /> lottery to take on the performance slots.
