PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES <br /> Kidzu Children's Museum,Chapel Hill,NC 2007-Present <br /> 2010–Present Curator of Exhibits <br /> Responsible for planning, organizing,and coordinating development of all indoor and outdoor exhibits for <br /> Kidzu's exapansion and current museum, from concept and design to fabrication and installation,ensuring that <br /> exhibits and the exhibit design process fully support museum's educational goals and vision.Oversee and monitor <br /> all tasks and timelines for grants supporting exhibit design and development during the master planning process. <br /> Serve as a liaison for exhibit consultants,exhibit designers,fabricators, and community members participating in <br /> designing and developing indoor and outdoor exhibits. Organize and lead outreach workshops and other <br /> educational programming to engage children in the design of the new facility. Supervise staff,volunteers and <br /> university interns in all matters related to current and future exhibits. <br /> 2007-2010 Exhibits Manager <br /> Oversee interactive, educational exhibits and related community programs for hands-on children's museum for <br /> children aged 0-8 years. Managed permanent collection of over 8000 objects,attending to <br /> cataloguing and maintaining of departmental database,conservation and photography needs,public and scholarly <br /> inquiry; loans and acquisitions;research and publications. Worked as a liaison with various departments <br /> throughout the museum, including but not limited to Operations,Design,Education,Registrar's Office,and other <br /> curatorial departments. Managed the de-installation and reinstallation of entire Ancient Near Eastern collection as <br /> part of a major Museum capital project(1999),as well as several special exhibitions:Art of the First Cities: The <br /> Third Millennium B.C.from the Mediterranean to the Indus(2003); The Golden Deer of Eurasia: Scythian and <br /> Sarmatian Treasures from the Russian Steppes(2000);The Year One(2000).
