During this activity, I had an <br /> opportunity to work with a number of experts on all aspects of life in the late 18th century <br /> in Orange County. In addition, as President of the Historical Society, I oversaw the <br /> purchase and proper instalation of a suitably old English bell in the old County <br /> Courthouse. Both of these experiences helped me to appreciate the purpose and <br /> practice of public history.
