To date, two buildings have been built on the site: the Southern Human <br />Services Center and the Seymour Senior Center. The site also supports Project HomeStart on <br />northwest sector of the property. <br /> <br />The Board of Commissioners approved a conceptual site master plan in 2006 and included <br />funding for a formal master plan of the Campus in the current year Capital Investment Plan <br />(CIP). <br />On May 15, 2012the Board of County Commissioners approved a Professional Services <br />Agreement with Clarion Associates of Chapel Hill (“Clarion”) to develop the formal master plan <br />andSpecial Use Permit Modification for the Southern OrangeCampus. <br />The overall intent of the master plan and the subsequentSpecial Use Permit modification with <br />the Town of Chapel Hill is to secure the most comprehensive and flexible set of development <br />rights for a significant period of time into the future to serve Orange County’s needs. The <br />objective is to prepare an application to submit to the Townto secure this comprehensive set of <br />development rights for a 25 year period. The plan will outline development areas and specific <br />design guidelines for County planning and construction for both building expansion and new <br />building construction. <br /> <br />
