On Friday May 25, many <br /> venues will have artist and opening receptions from 6—9 pm. <br /> • The Gallery at the Hillsborough Arts Council at 220 South Churton Street presents <br /> "Transforming Light" featuring watercolors by Ginny Runge and cast glass sculptures by <br /> Lucartha Kohler. <br /> • Melissa Designer Jewelry at 112 South Churton Street features the studio and gallery of National <br /> Award winning designer Melissa Booth. Specializing in one of a kind gold creations. <br /> • The Eno Gallery at 100 South Churton Street presents "Surface Tension" in the upper gallery <br /> featuring a compelling two person exhibition with the book based sculptures of Daniel Essig and <br /> the fine hand woven fiber installations of Vicki Essig. "Right& Left" in the lower gallery <br /> featuring an exhibition of Jennifer Miller's new paintings including watercolors from recent <br /> months of healing and change. <br /> • The Hillsborough Artists Cooperative and The Skylight Gallery at 102 West King Street presents <br /> work by studio artists Jayne Bomberg and Tom Guthrie(The Studio of Collective <br /> Effervescence),Jennifer E. Miller,Andrea DeGette, Jacquelin Liggins, Tiffney Marley, and <br /> Calvin Brett. The Skylight Gallery presents"The Playful Pet Exhibit"unique houses, <br /> hideaways, and teepees for cats, ferrets,rats and small agile dogs and other creations by R. Dean <br /> and Nadine Warner. <br /> • Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston at 114 West King Street presents the Orange High <br /> Art Students Show. <br /> • Cup A Joe at 120 West King Street presents mixed media by Joe Gargasz. <br /> • Callaway Jewelry& Spiral Studios at 115 North Churton offers beautiful handmade jewelry in <br /> sterling silver and gold by metalsmiths/designers Catharine Callaway and Jeannine Rogers. <br /> • Sovero Art Gallery& Studio at 121 North Churton Street, Suite 2-B presents jewelry and oil <br /> paintings by Peruvian artist David Sovero. <br /> • The Hillsborough Gallery of Arts at 121 North Churton Street presents"Mystic Chords" <br /> featuring painters Chris Graebner and Jude Lobe and jeweler Mirinda Kossoff. Works are <br /> inspired by a quote from Abraham Lincoln's First Inaugural Address, in which Lincoln referred <br /> to the "mystic chords of memory,"which he hoped would bind a fractured nation together. <br /> • The Depot at Hillsborough Station at 246 South Nash Street presents "Musaic Mosaics" <br /> featuring glass mosaics with a musical theme by Justin Johnson and Nikki Jaeger. Take West <br /> King Street, go left on South Nash Street and the Depot will be on your right.
