Curriculum area or disciplines the project covers: <br /> The arts workshops will take place in the English classroom. Working closely with the Sacrificial <br /> Poets, students at Phoenix Academy will continue their study of poetry as performance art. <br /> Additionally, traditional concepts taught in the English classroom will be reinforced through the <br /> workshop series. This project also aims to improve students' reading and writing skills. <br /> Integrating the arts program will increase student interest and engagement, which in turn, will <br /> encourage students to write about their experience. <br /> 10.
