Carrboro Music Festival draws crowd Page 1 of 3 <br /> print <br /> Carrboro Music Festival draws crowd <br /> 09.25.11 - 09:26 pm <br /> By Melody Guyton Butts <br /> mbutts @heraldsun.com; <br /> 419-6684 <br /> CARRBORO — Jazz-funk <br /> bled into bluegrass, and indie <br /> folk-rock into a cappella <br /> gospel on the streets of <br /> Carrboro on Sunday, creating <br /> the incidental mashups that <br /> have drawn thousands of <br /> people to the Carrboro Music <br /> Festival for 14 years now. <br /> More than 180 music acts of <br /> nearly every genre <br /> imaginable were scattered <br /> among 25 venues, providing <br /> a soundtrack to an afternoon <br /> : <br /> of dancing, noshing, hula- <br /> hooping and relaxation. <br /> David Tillery spun around <br /> his wife, Lori, on a makeshift <br /> dance floor outside Weaver <br /> Street Market to the sounds <br /> of See No Weevil, an <br /> eclectic blues group.
