3 <br /> Proposed Uses of Grant Funds <br /> In conjunction with our Community Outreach mission,we are requesting funding <br /> from the Arts Commission to support our Educational Outreach program,FRANK:: IN <br /> FOCUS,our fall 2012 featured exhibition on photography with a complementing series <br /> of workshops,art salons, seminars, and discussion forums. <br /> Through this project, we aim to set a standard and meet our goals for our non- <br /> profit arm whose mission is to be a catalyst for sharing of ideas and inspiration through <br /> forming partnerships between a diverse population of artists and our community. <br /> Panels and Events: <br /> Accompanying the exhibition of FRANK photographers featured exhibition, we are <br /> partnering with satellite galleries and art organizations,museums,and schools in Orange <br /> County and selected venues in the Triangle to offer a series of workshops at FRANK. <br /> See supplementary list for participants and schedule. <br /> Goals <br /> *Bring diverse members of our community to the gallery to experience the photography <br /> and meet FRANK artists <br /> *Educate the community about photography in the broadest sense(not just machinery) <br /> *Provide stimulating discussion and exploration <br /> *Generate excitement for the photographic arts in Chapel Hill, Orange County,and the <br /> Triangle. <br /> Funding Sources <br /> FRANK Gallery <br /> For each exhibition,FRANK routinely funds and produces a Show Card listing <br /> participating artists and Salon events and hosts an Opening Reception and S Thursday <br /> evening Artist Salons. Our salaried gallery director produces an electronic eblast Show <br /> Card and newsletter and creates marketing materials to area media. <br /> FRANK Artists and Guests <br /> The artists at FRANK are designing and funding an exhibition catalog and banner <br /> Additional Local Sponsorships <br /> We are requesting private sponsorships from our participating partners. <br /> FRANK:: IN FOCUS <br /> We are seeking support for expenses specifically related to marketing and <br /> promotion and an honorarium for a nationally recognized speaker. <br /> FRANK:IN FOCUS is producing an additional brochure with map of our satellite venues. <br /> We are placing print ads in local art and photography publications to capture our targeted <br /> audience. We are inviting 2 internationally known speakers for our Art Salon Speaker <br /> Forums and would like to provide them a small honorarium. <br />
