Exhibit B Scope of Services—Fiscal Year 2012-13 <br /> Orange County Outside Agency Performance Agreement Certification <br /> Funded Amount: $7,000 <br /> Agency: Historic Hillsborough Commission <br /> Program: A Celebration of Local History and Culture at the Burwell School Historic Site <br /> Purpose: A Celebration of Local History and Culture at the Burwell School Historic Site is <br /> an ongoing program of the Historic Hillsborough Commission. This program's <br /> mission is to interpret the history of 19th century Hillsborough and the Burwell School <br /> for the enrichment of the public. In 2012-13, the program will develop educational <br /> outreach materials to share with eight schools and children's organizations that <br /> wouldn't otherwise have the resources to visit the site, reaching an estimated 200 <br /> children within Orange County during the fiscal year. Further, the organization will <br /> make improvements and additions to existing offerings to enhance the experience of <br /> the estimated 6,800 visitors who will visit the site each fiscal year. Finally, the <br /> program will support the maintenance and improvements necessary to keep the site <br /> safe and hospitable for its visitors and staff. The program will bring the history of the <br /> Burwell School and 19th Century Hillsborough to life for over 7,000 visitors and <br /> program participants. <br /> Outcome: The Burwell School Historic Site will host 6,800 visitors during the 2012-13 fiscal <br /> year. The program will develop a Traveling Trunk provide an experiential learning <br /> opportunity to over 200 children at 8 local schools and organizations by the end of the <br /> fiscal year. An improved and updated tour will provide visitors with an accurate <br /> picture of the Burwell School, its students,enslaved community and later residents. <br /> These visitors will benefit from the improved safety and maintenance of the Burwell <br /> School Historic Site.
