EMS Medical Director Contract Renewal <br />The Board renewed a contract between Orange County and the UNC Department of <br />Emergency Medicine concerning medical direction of Orange County's Emergency Medical <br />Services (EMS) program and authorized the Chair to sign. <br />n. OCS, and Health Department far School Nurses <br />The Board considered approving contracts between Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, <br />Orange County Schools, and the Health Department far School Nurse Funding and authorizing <br />the Chair to sign. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said that he wanted to highlight this as an accomplishment for <br />both school systems. The goal was to have a nurse in each school. The County is going to pay <br />over $500,000 to fund nurses that will work in schools so that each school will have a nurse. <br />
