Exhibit B—Scope of Services—Fiscal Year 2012-13 <br /> Orange County Outside Agency Performance Agreement Certification <br /> Funded Amount $45,000 <br /> Agency: Communities In Schools of Orange County,.Inc. (CISOC) <br /> Program Two (2) traditional school day Latino programs and seven (7) 21st Community <br /> Learning Centers (CIS After 3) intense academic support programs. <br /> Purpose The Latino programs provide academic support for up to 15 students at each site via <br /> a program coordinator who identifies not only academic deficiencies,but other barriers hindering <br /> student achievement and connects students to the resource. Student support includes case <br /> management. The middle school Latino program feeds into the Chapel Hill High school program <br /> for continuum of academic support. The CIS After 3 programs located in all 7 middle schools <br /> provide thirty (30) students who have difficulty passing End-of-Grade (EOG) tests to participate in <br /> structured curricula that incorporate "hands on activities" designed to re-engage them to learning. <br /> When students are engaged there is a reduction in juvenile crime, teen pregnancy,and truancy. <br /> Outcomes Of 260 students enrolled in program services, 60%will improve on End-of-Grade <br /> (EOG) test scores and study habits;along with 60%reduction in behavioral problems such as in- <br /> school or out-of-school suspensions (ISS or OSS). <br /> Program Budget <br /> Description Expense Justification <br /> Personnel $36,348 Salaries for staff to provide <br /> oversight to 16 county-wide <br /> school programs.
