We have served as the Designated County Partner (DCP) - formerly the Local <br />Distributing Agent (LDA)-in Orange County since 1985. Our on-going arts programs include the following: 2 <br />Grant Cycles (Spring and Fall) annually that fund artists and organizations; participation in annual Emerging <br />Artists Grants Program through the Durham Arts Council (for 5-county area of Orange, Durham, Chatham, <br />Person and Granville onunUeo); annual Piedmont Laureate Program (currently for 4-county area ofOrange, <br />Durham, Wake, and A|omanuecounUeu). Arts Incubation Program; quarterly Artists' Salons featuring free <br />professional development for artists; monthly e-newsletters and other occasional publications; website providing <br />arts information, events calendar and a searchable online local arts directory; Annual 4th U.S. Congressional <br />District High School Art Competition in Orange County (participating with Durham and Wake Counties); Public Art <br />Located on County-Owned Properties, and Special Arts Projects.
