WHEREAS, Kingsdown employs over 160 employees in its Mebane and Orange County <br />facilities: and <br />WHEREAS, the new 80,000 square foot manufacturing facility includes an on-site fitness <br />center, a cafeteria, and other amenities for its employees; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />formally welcomes Kingsdown, Inc. to the County and commends the employee-owners of the <br />company and its Chief Executive Officer Eric Hinshaw for serving as model corporate citizens of <br />Orange County. <br />This the 15t" day of February 2005 <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />Commissioner Halkiotis said that he would like at the next Board of County <br />Commissioners' meeting for Dianne Reid to bring an economic update. He would like to have a <br />regular schedule of economic updates in the County. He would also like to consider honoring <br />other businesses Orange County. He did not know that Kingsdown had other offices around the <br />world. <br />b. Resolution of Appreciation for Jerry Wagner <br />The Board considered a resalutian recognizing Orange County's Assistant Fire Marshall, <br />Jerry Wagner, for service to his country in Iraq from February 2004 through December 2004. <br />Rad Visser introduced Jerry Wagner. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis read the resalutian. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Gordon to <br />adopt a resolution recognizing Orange County's Assistant Fire Marshall, Jerry Wagner, for his <br />service to his country in Iraq from February 2004 through December 2004 as stated below: <br />A RESOLUTION HONORING JERRY WAGNER <br />FOR HIS MILITARY SERVICE IN IRAQ <br />WHEREAS, Jerry Wagner has been employed by Orange County and has served as Assistant <br />Fire Marshal since November 1994; and <br />WHEREAS, Jerry Wagner serves nat only Orange County but also in the United States Army as <br />a Sergeant in Battery C, 1St Battalion, 113t" Field Artillery Regiment of the 1St Infantry Division; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Wagner and his unit were mobilized and deployed far military service in <br />Iraq in Spring 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Wagner served his unit and his country through self-sacrifice and by <br />upholding the ideals of freedom and self-determination upon which our nation was founded; and <br />
