IT Service Support for BOCC members <br />Todd Jones said that at the Board's request, he put together a list of technologies and <br />different options for consideration. <br />Chair Carey said that he had some of these people at his house installing some things <br />and they did a goad job. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said that he put this on the agenda. He had a meeting in October <br />about issues with technology. He is bothered that Commissioner Halkiotis does not feel that he <br />can trust his email. All of the County Commissioners have different capabilities as individuals <br />and with equipment. He thinks they should look at newer technology. He suggested having <br />some kind of wellness program with regard to viruses. He would like something more cohesive. <br />He suggested that the person on the IT committee from the Board could work with staff, or <br />possibly the Chair and Vice-Chair. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis said that he does not have time to separate garbage emails <br />from legitimate ones. He is tired of being infected. He would be delighted to have some kind of <br />instant text messaging or far people to just call him. He suggested having Todd Jones bring <br />some examples of the new technology. <br />Chair Carey suggested putting together a list of what the County Commissioners <br />currently have and how to develop a standard package. <br />8.
