Commissioner <br />Halkiotis said that he would be comfortable with this. <br />Cammissianer Carey supports this in concept and would like to have it an a regular <br />agenda. <br />Chair Jacobs recognized Ms. Leah Rade, Chair of the Arts Commission. <br />Chair Jacobs asked for information on how Mecklenburg County addresses schools. <br />Martha Shannon will bring this information back. <br />Chair Jacobs said that he is not comfortable using this funding to hire artists from out of the <br />state. He thinks it should be a part of Orange County's economic development or at least North <br />Carolina. He would like to have the benefit of seeing the minutes of the Arts Commission <br />meeting an November 8t".
