Prior <br /> to my four years with OCPYC, I served as the Deputy Director of the Center for Child and <br /> Family Health and as a faculty member with Duke University Department of Psychiatry. <br /> My responsibilities included managing all aspects of the mental health clinic including <br /> budgeting, billing Medicaid and private insurance. My work at the Center focused on child <br /> health and mental health issues with a special emphasis on domestic violence. I worked <br /> with diverse families from both Durham and Orange Counties. My earlier work included <br /> special projects aimed at children and families exposed to violence at the Yale University <br /> School of Medicine Child Study Center in New Haven, CT. I also directed clinical <br /> programs at Safe Horizon, a mental health organization in New York, and assisted <br /> victims in the aftermath of 9/11.
