Location Maps <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Perdita Holtz, Planning Systems <br />Coordinator, 245 -2578 <br />Craig Benedict, Planning Director, 245- <br />2592 <br />PURPOSE: To consider the legal advertisement for items to be presented at the joint Board of <br />County Commissioners /Planning Board Quarterly Public Hearing scheduled for August 27, <br />2012. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners reviews proposals to be considered at <br />public hearing for consistency with general County policy and presentation format. The following <br />items are scheduled for the August 27, 2012 Quarterly Public Hearing: <br />Applications <br />(See maps in Attachment 2 for locations) <br />1. Class A Special Use Permit for a Major Subdivision of 25 lots for single - family residential <br />on a 68.51 acre parcel of property off of Mt. Sinai Road. <br />2. Zoning Atlas Amendment for a Conditional Zoning District to rezone approximately 14 <br />acres of a 36 acre parcel of property located at 9925 NC Highway 57 in order to develop <br />an enclosed mini self- storage facility with accompanying accessory uses including office <br />space, a retail office selling boxes and packing supplies, and a truck rental area. <br />County- Initiated <br />3. Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Text Amendments to address the review and <br />approval of development of solar arrays. <br />The legal advertisement in Attachment 1 provides additional information regarding these items. <br />The BOCC approved the Amendment Outline Form for the County- initiated item at its April 3, <br />2012 meeting. <br />
