Chair Jacobs asked if it was reasonable to have a plan in place by January. Recreation and <br />Parks Director Lori Taft said that it is reasonable to have a comprehensive plan based on what <br />is known now. It becomes more difficult with things down the road 5-10 years. She could came <br />back with a strategic plan in early fall. <br />Chair Jacobs said that they have $20 million for Lands Legacy and he would like to see some <br />projections regarding this. <br />*YES - in January* <br />Social Services <br />• Income Maintenance Worker II <br />YES <br />• Income Maintenance Worker III <br />YES <br />• Social Worker <br />YES <br />Decision Point 2: Change in Existing Positions <br />Aging: <br />• Eldercare Manager <br />Commissioner Halkiotis said that this is also one that says, "funding needed if position not <br />approved - $19,781 ". He wants an explanation of this. <br />John Link said that this is an existing position in OPT. It is proposed that the money be <br />transferred to begin focusing an the caseloads of the frail and elderly to keep them out of rest <br />homes and nursing homes as long as possible. <br />Paul Laughton said that if this were not approved, they would hire temporary workers to carry <br />the workload. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis said that this is important and he just wants to know what other services <br />are provided so that this is funded na matter what.
