Chair Jacobs asked if it was reasonable to have a plan in place by January. Recreation and <br />Parks Director Lori Taft said that it is reasonable to have a comprehensive plan based on what <br />is known now. It becomes more difficult with things down the road 5-10 years. It is proposed that the money be <br />transferred to begin focusing an the caseloads of the frail and elderly to keep them out of rest <br />homes and nursing homes as long as possible. <br />Paul Laughton said that if this were not approved, they would hire temporary workers to carry <br />the workload. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis said that this is important and he just wants to know what other services <br />are provided so that this is funded na matter what.
