County of Orange, NC <br />COMPLIANCE HISTORY AND LITIGATION <br />RFP #5183 <br />Clean Harbors has pending cases, claims or assessments against the Company which arise in the <br />ordinary course of business consisting primarily of automobile accident claims, commercial, <br />employee and environmentally related lawsuits and administrative proceedings. Some of these <br />proceedings may result in fines, penalties, and judgments against Clean Harbors. Clean Harbors <br />warrants, however, that is it not involved in any action or suit that would preclude it from <br />performing its obligations under this Request for Proposal. <br />As a publicly traded corporation, Clean Harbors is required to disclose material legal <br />proceedings pursuant to SEC rules. A more detailed description of the most significant Legal <br />Proceedings are included in Clean Harbors' SEC 10 -K form, beginning on page 88.
