County of Orange, NC <br />Facility Layout <br />RFP #5183 <br />Clean Harbors has provided a generic permanent household hazardous waste facility layout <br />below. Obviously each facility is unique, but experience has taught the Company that this set -up <br />can easily be incorporated into any scenario with only a few minor changes. <br />The goal of the layout is to promote streamlined traffic flow and safeguard the public. The <br />hazardous waste processing is segregated into different areas to protect our employees, your <br />workers and the general public. For example Clean Harbors has positioned a fire extinguisher <br />near the bulking area as a precaution to possible chemical reactions. <br />The break area includes hand washing facilities; and is separated from facility operations to <br />prevent accidental residual chemical ingestion. To prevent dehydration, fresh drinking water is <br />available as well. Not shown on the diagram are drum dollies and carts used by our employees <br />that reduce the potential for strains and back injuries. <br />Company Confidential 22 www.cleanharbors.com <br />
