County of Orange, INC <br />RFP #5183 <br />liquid injection incinerators in Canada with total annual capacity of approximately 175,000 tons. <br />Of the various waste disposal technologies, incineration offers the most complete destruction <br />destroying 99.99% of all materials through the use of high temperatures. <br />Wastewater Treatment <br />Clean Harbors owns and operates six dedicated wastewater treatment facilities in North America. <br />These facilities utilize various treatment methods including chemical precipitation of metals, <br />acid /base neutralization, and chemical oxidation/reduction for inorganic wastewater. For <br />organic wastewater, we utilize chemical oxidation, supercritical fluid extraction, biological <br />treatment, oil /water separation, and deep well injection treatment methods. <br />Our facilities are permitted to treat a wide variety of hazardous and non - hazardous wastewaters <br />including RCRA hazardous waste; Listed hazardous waste; CERCLA hazardous waste; TSCA, <br />RCRA/TSCA and non -TSCA PCB waste; non -RCRA regulated industrial waste; and non- <br />hazardous waste. <br />Landfill <br />Clean Harbors offers cost - effective and safe disposal of hazardous and non - hazardous solids for <br />secure landfill in drum and bulk forms through its network of sites across the country. <br />Shipments are accepted by rail or road. <br />Our nine landfills, with duplicate and varying capabilities, ensure a customer's business line will <br />not be interrupted. Six sites are utilized for the disposal of hazardous waste (Subtitle C). Three <br />sites specialize in non - hazardous industrial and municipal waste (Subtitle D). Our services <br />include macroencapsulation, microencapsulation, metals stabilization, chemical oxidation, PCB <br />disposal, and NORM and TENORM waste. <br />Reuse, Recycling, and Reclamation <br />Clean Harbors' Reuse, Recycling, and Reclamation Services identify waste streams that are <br />candidates for reuse, recycling, or reclamation opportunities providing a responsible alternative <br />to incineration, fuel blending, and other disposal routes. <br />Reuse: Waste or by- product to one industry may be a valuable raw material to another industry <br />Our experience with a broad range of industries enables us to identify which materials you may <br />have of value, what specifications must be met, and source potential users. <br />Solvent /Oil Recycling: Clean Harbors' solvent and oil recycling technologies help minimize <br />waste. Our solvent recovery operation handles chlorinated and fluorinated solvents from a <br />variety of industries including high technology manufacturers, paints and plastics processing <br />firms, and metal finishing companies. Additionally, through our network of reclamation <br />facilities and direct re -use clients, many non - halogenated solvents can be reused or recycled. <br />Our oil recovery plants re- process motor, lubricating, and specialty oils from almost every <br />industry source.
