Does the current $0.60 / pound rate alluded to in the pre -bid meeting include transportation <br />of wastes? <br />Yes it includes transportation. $0.60 per pound includes everything except labor. <br />12. Is one contractor currently providing all of these services both onsite collection and disposal? <br />Are you planning on continuing this for the new contract? <br />The current contractor is providing everything; onsite collection, hauling and disposal. We are <br />planning on the new contractor continuing all of those services. We need to be made aware of any <br />subcontractors that are used and the subcontractors must be approved by us beforehand. <br />13. Does the county provide the. container utilized to package the waste or will the pricing <br />submitted for disposal need to include packaging <br />The current pricing includes everything except labor. Collection, hauling, processing,. disposing, and <br />all of the material used on site including tools, boxes, 55 gallon drums, etc. <br />14. Will the contractor have storage onsite at the collection location for equipment and supplies? <br />If yes what type of building and what is the area, i.e. what is the storage capacity? <br />The storage facility at 1514 Eubanks Road has a shelter for employees, a large processing area and <br />two storage buildings. One building is 12'x 16' and the other is 14'x 20'. There is also a covered <br />area with secondary containment that is used for storage that is about 13'x20'. <br />15. Please provide drawings or diagrams of the existing HHW storage area. <br />See Attached (1514 Eubanks Road Facility). We currently only have large blue prints of the <br />processing building. The illustration provided Is a rough sketch of the location. If you need the <br />exact blue print of the processing building please let us know. <br />16. You have a single per lb unit price in the bid schedule for Household Hazardous Waste <br />collection and processing. Is this unit price to include everything except the onsite per labor rate? <br />In other words are we to include disposal, packaging, transportation, testing and all other costs <br />under this single per lb unit price for all waste categories? <br />The per pound price includes everything except labor. <br />17. What was the total contract spending on the current HHW contract in each of the last two <br />complete fiscal years? <br />FY 0910 = $166,290.90 and FY 1011= $159,003.60. <br />18. Are lamps included in the collection service and if so does it include all categories of lamps <br />compact fluorescent, straight fluorescent, HID, and incandescent, etc? <br />Orange County will be handling all Lamps.
