Q <br />]05 _ oZ0 C l- cj 441 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING RECOMMENDTIONS OF THE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT TASK FORCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE <br />ELEMENT OF THE ORANGE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO CREATE <br />THE HILLSBOROUGH AREA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY NODE <br />WHEREAS, conditions have changed or are changing in areas surrounding the <br />1 -40 /Old NC 86 Economic Development Activity Node; and <br />WHEREAS, the recommendations of the Economic Development District Task <br />Force represent a change in the policies, objectives, principles, or <br />standards governing the physical development of areas surrounding the <br />1 -40 /Old NC 86 Economic Development Activity Node; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan amendment referenced as CP -1 -01 leads <br />toward creation of the Hillsborough Area Economic Development Activity <br />Node by adding an additional 190 acres to the east of the current 1-40/ <br />Old NC 86 Economic Development Activity Node; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan amendment referenced as CP -2 -01 leads <br />toward creation of the Hillsborough Area Economic Development Activity <br />Node by adding an additional 60 acres to the northeast of the current <br />1-40/ Old NC 86 Economic Development Activity Node; and <br />WHEREAS, CP -1 -01 and CP -2 -01 were considered at the quarterly public <br />hearing on February 26, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Planning Board recommended approval of <br />CP -1 -01 and CP -2 -01 on April 4, 2001. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners: <br />1. That the County of Orange adopts the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br />amendments referenced as CP -1 -01 and CP -2 -01; and <br />2.
