Contract Renewal with Northen Blue for DSS Legal Services <br />The Board accepted the Social Services Board recommendation and approved the <br />contract renewal far legal representation with Northern Blue, LLP, for fiscal year 2004-2005, <br />subject to final review by staff and the County Attorney. <br />t. Renewal of Contract for Curbside Recycling <br />The Board approved the renewal of the curbside recycling contract with Waste <br />Industries, Inc. and authorized the Chair to sign the contract subject to final review by staff and <br />the County Attorney. <br />u. Renewal of Voluntary Agricultural District -Carl and Elizabeth Walters <br />The Board approved the renewal of the voluntary agricultural district for the Carl and <br />Elizabeth Walters and Victor Walters farms. <br />v. Efland Cheeks Park (Phase 111 Liahtina Plan <br />The Board authorized the staff to contract for a lighting plan of the field and walking track <br />lighting as the initial part of construction of Phase II of Efland-Cheeks Park over the summer. <br />w. General Assembly Establishment of the Orange-Chatham Boundary Line <br />This item was removed and placed at the end of the consent agenda far separate <br />consideration. <br />x. Home and Community Care Block Grant for Older Adults -Funding FY 2004- <br />2005 <br />The Board approved the 2004-2005 Home and Community Care Black Grant Funding <br />Plan in the amount of $427,956 and authorized the Chair to sign grant documents. <br />~ Surplus Disposal 2004 <br />The Board declared items as surplus (including three vehicles for the Wheels far Work <br />Program}; authorized the transfer of three vehicles to the Wheels for Work Program; and <br />approved recycling the metal dumpsters as scrap; and approved the continued reallocation of <br />certain surplus personal computers to non-profit organizations meeting the criteria as set out in <br />the abstract; and adopted the resolution, which is incorporated by reference, authorizing the <br />Director of Purchasing and Central Services to conduct an auction to dispose of the items on <br />Saturday, July 31, 2004. <br />z.
