A copy of the proposed amendment was included in the correspondence, along with instructions on how to voice any comments they may have. 3. FISCAL IMPACT The addition of customers to the sewer system will help make the system viable for future operation by spreading the cost of operating the sewer system to more people. However, for some users, the cost of connecting to the sewer system will be more than the cost of installing a septic system, depending on the suitability of their soils, the orientation of their lot, distance to the nearest sewer line and other factors. D. AMENDMENT IMPLICATIONS New development in designated public sewer service areas would be required to connect to the public sewer system if the conditions of the proposed new section 6.20 apply. A definition of designated public sewer service areas will be added to Article 10 of the UDO and will serve to identify all current and any future areas affected by this amendment. It should be noted that this amendment will require connection to any public sewer service system in the County's zoning jurisdiction and utility service area, as defined by WASMPBA. The manner of connection and specific steps which must be taken to connect to public sewer service will be defined by the governing rules of the particular sewer system in question. __.._ ....... .. ....... __..
