The other item is a <br /> 25 story in yesterday's New York Times about a report that said that transit ridership has gone up <br /> 26 1 billion rides this year. <br /> 27 Commissioner Yuhasz—none <br /> 28 Commissioner Hemminger— none <br /> 29 Commissioner McKee—none <br /> 30 Commissioner Foushee gave some NACo Conference updates. She said that the <br /> 31 legislative agenda includes making sure that budget reforms do not result in unfunded <br /> 32 mandates to counties.
