Qualifications for Orange County <br />standard analysis techniques, M /A /B can determine the micro and macro -level- effects of travel <br />patterns and can therefore identify appropriate mitigations. Each project is unique and combines <br />several individualized transportation challenges. These typically involve accessibility, <br />internal circulation, traffic congestion, traffic impacts, signal warrants, signal design, pedestrian <br />safety, parking, transit, bicycle movement, financing, local and regional transportation issues. <br />Maple Commerce Park TIA <br />Currituck County, North Carolina <br />Client Reference: Ben Woody - (252) 232 -6029 <br />M /A /B staff participated in the master planning and <br />community charrette process for the Maple Park Site <br />and then conducted a two -phase Traffic Impact <br />Analysis (TIA) to analyze the impacts of ultimate plan <br />along US 258 in Currituck, NC. Phase I includes an <br />Aviation School, soccer fields, commerce park, YMCA <br />with a senior center, and existing facilities such as NC <br />Cooperative Extension Service's Building, Central <br />Elementary School, and the Currituck Head Start <br />Center. Phase II includes expanding the commerce <br />park, constructing new facilities for the Currituck <br />County Animal Center, and relocating Maple Park including baseball fields, softball fields, skate <br />park, and equestrian trails. Phase II will also close Airport Road resulting in the rerouting of <br />traffic and /or relocation of existing facilities on Airport Road including the Currituck Landfill <br />Transfer Station and NC Forestry Service County Headquarters. Traffic analyses and simulation <br />modeling were performed for both Phases of development and recommendations to <br />accommodate the forecasted traffic internal to the site, including a roundabout, and along US 258 <br />were provided. <br />Martin /Alexiou /Bryson, P.C. <br />
