C L A R 1 Q
4. Relevant Governmental Experience: Local governments and public
institutions are our main clients, and most of those are in North
Carolina. All three of the team's firms are local, have worked in and
around Orange County, and know the culture of this community.
5. Capacity and Workload: As noted in our cover letter, we are ready to
go. All three firms have projects that are coming to completion this
spring, and are in positions to devote all the needed time and attention
and more to this project.
6. Relevant Response to Proposal: We believe that we have assembled a
team that is exactly tailored to the needs of this project, verified with
success in directly related settings. And we hope you will see evidence
of our writing skills and organization in reading this proposal.
7. References: We encourage you to contact the local governments with
whom we have worked. One of our best references is Orange County,
and we are proud of our past work in pursuit of community
enhancement in this County.
8. What distinguishes this proposal from the rest? Two things taken in
combination distinguish this proposal, we believed: (1) Cutting -edge
national experience with best planning practices, particularly with
respect to advocacy of sustainability and resiliency principles; and (2)
Extensive and complete familiarity with Orange County because of
work on other projects in and around the County.
9. Proposed Approach: Our approach has been proven over and over to
be successful. We especially highlight our work in engaging
communities in thoughtful and productive public dialogue.
10. Availability: Timing is good. Many of our current projects are
crossing the finish line in March -April, and we are ready to devote the
needed attention to this Southern Orange Campus Master Plan
immediately.
We hope you agree that this team is a good fit for the County's needs to create
this Master Plan. Following, in the appendix, are firm descriptions and resumes
of key team members.
We look forward to the opportunity to discuss these ideas with you. Thank you
for your consideration.
Southern Orance Campus iI ster Alan
Page 27
