The recommended intersection
treatment was a single -lane roundabout for the intersection of the future
conmector road and Eubanks Road to provide superlative traffic
op .-rations and to control travel speeds near the school site on Eubanks
Road. Traffic simulation was performed utilizing VISSIM software to
model future traffic conditions with the schools in place and traffic
diversion due to the connector roadway, while also accommodating
significant truck traffic along Eubanks Road. M /A/B provided the
Ruictional design for the roundabout, including critical elements such as
the inscribed diameter, lane widths sidewalk locations, bike lane
Sc uthern Orange Campus Master Plan
treatments,
splitter
islands,
and apron
design.
Page 24
