Our emphasis always is on
creating a pleasing and safe pedestrian environment, and accommodating
growth while minimizing parking needs and traffic. Specific studies can
include pedestrian circulation and safety, parking, accessibility, internal
circulation, traffic congestion and impacts, transit, bicycle movement,
and travel demand management. Our extensive master planning
experience has provided us with a unique understanding and approach to
campus transportation systems.
M /A/B is very skilled in the areas of traffic impact analyses, traffic
assessments, transportation management plans, roadway design, signal
design, and access management for master planning projects. We
understand the importance of anticipating demands on the transportation
network and to mitigate any negative operational impacts of proposed
developments. Using industry standard analysis techniques, M /A/B can
determine the micro and macro level effects of travel patterns and can
therefore identify appropriate mitigations. Each project is unique and
combines several individualized transportation challenges. These
typically involve accessibility, internal circulation, traffic congestion,
traffic impacts, signal warrants, signal design, pedestrian safety, parking,
transit, bicycle movement, financing, local and regional transportation
issues.
Maple Commerce Park TIA
Currituck County, North Carolina
Client Reference: Ben Woody — (252) 232 -6029
M/A/B staff participated in the master planning and
community charrette process for the Maple Park Site and
then conducted a two -phase Traffic Impact Analysis
(TIA) to analyze the impacts of ultimate plan along US
Southern Change Campus Master Plan Page 23
